 Conservation Priorities:
Support for Audubon Alaska's science-based conservation work to protect birds, other wildlife, and their habitats across the diverse and rich ecosystems of Alaska is important for our mission.
  • Secure permanent protection for priority areas across the Arctic, including the coastal plain of the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge and key sites within the National Petroleum Reserve-Alaska in the Western Arctic;

  • Secure permanent protection for watersheds with high ecological and community values distributed across the Tongass National Forest;
  • Monitor threats to and defend significant bird populations and their habitats, emphasizing Alaska WatchList species and Important Bird Areas (IBAs);
  • Monitor threats to and defend important wildlife populations and habitats, especially in the National Wildlife Refuge system;
  • Highlight and address the effects of global climate disruption, and support efforts to identify and reduce emissions of greenhouse gases in Alaska; and…
  • Seek protection of internationally-significant wildlife resources and their habitats in Alaska's Arctic marine environment, emphasizing the Bering, Beaufort, and Chukchi seas.

We encourage conservation minded people to donate in support of their work.
