Bahia Conception Nature Preserve Sea Turtle - Bahia Conception Nature Preserve
Please help us save a natural treasure!
The Western Alliance for Nature is actively working to secure 165 square miles of the Bahia Conception Nature Preserve on a peninsula on the east side of Baja California. The area has been called the Mexican Galapagos. The preserve covers 100,000 acres of undeveloped land where unspoiled marine, coastal and terrestrial ecosystems blend.

The area is a pristine wilderness supporting large populations of reptiles, insects, birds, marine mammals, invertebrates and small mammals. Larger mammals are also found, including bobcat, coyote and bighorn sheep. As many as 120 species of birds have been identified at Bahia Conception.
