Saving a Species In the Nick of Time:
The Western Alliance for Nature Responds
to Urgency to Save a Species - the El Oro Parakeet
This nesting site will be annexed to the Buenaventura reserve created by Dr. Ridgely in 1999. Together, the 3,000 acres plus reserve will contain a cloud forest habitat that is not protected anywhere else and will now be a secure refuge for the El Oro Parakeet.

An Update For Early 2004
2003 was quite exciting for us. In only a half a year, the Western Alliance for Nature made great strides in developing the Ormond Beach nest site protection program for endangered birds.
